Customized business cards put your name, brand and contact details on a card you can hand over in seconds. They do not have to be expensive. At Lampmediatouch in Ogbomoso, our cards are double-sided and laminated on both sides, and you can supply your own design or have the design done for you.

This guide explains what to put on a card, how to design one that works, your printing options, and what each choice costs. It replaces our older article, which used example prices in US dollars that did not apply to Nigeria.

What are customized business cards?

A customized business card is a small printed card made for your own business, with your logo, name, role and contact details, instead of a generic template. Customers keep a card because it is quick to read and easy to carry, and it gives them a way to reach you later by phone, WhatsApp, email or your website.

Benefits of customized business cards

  • People remember you. A clear card with your logo helps customers connect your name to your business after the meeting is over.
  • Networking is easier. You can share your details at events, in shops, at church or school gatherings without typing numbers into a phone.
  • It looks professional. A well-made card shows you take your business seriously, which builds trust before you have said much.
  • It works with your other materials. Put the same logo and colours on your cards, receipts and banners. Our brand identity checklist shows how.

What to put on your card

  • Your business name and logo
  • Your name and your role
  • A phone number that you answer, ideally with WhatsApp
  • Email address
  • Website, if you have one
  • The area or town you work in, such as Ogbomoso
  • A short line about what you do (optional)
  • A QR code to your website or WhatsApp (optional)

Because our cards print on both sides, the back is useful for your services, a QR code or a short list of what you offer.

How to design a card that works

  • Keep it simple. A card that is too busy is hard to read. Leave empty space around the text.
  • Make the text readable. Choose clear fonts and sizes you can read comfortably at arm’s length.
  • Use a sharp logo. A small, blurry logo looks poor in print. Send your logo as a high-quality file.
  • Check every detail twice. Spelling, phone numbers and email addresses are the most common printing mistakes, and they are expensive to reprint.
  • Get the size right. See our guide to the standard business card size and our business card design tips.

Printing options in Nigeria

You have three main choices:

  • A local print shop. You can talk to the printer, check samples and fix problems quickly. This is often the best choice for your first order.
  • An online or delivery printer. Useful if you live far from a print shop. Check the paper weight, finish and delivery time before you pay.
  • Printing at home or at the office. Cheap for a few cards, but results vary and ordinary paper looks thin. We would not use it for cards you give to important clients.

Paper weight matters as much as design. Read our guide to choosing the right printing paper to understand gsm, thickness and finish.

How much do customized business cards cost?

The current price for every option is shown on our Business Cards page, and it changes as you pick the quantity and design option. All cards are double-sided and laminated on the front and back as standard. “Your own design” means you send a finished, print-ready file. “We design it” means the design is included.

Want a thicker, more premium card? We offer 500gsm, 750gsm and 1000gsm, and the price rises with the weight you choose.

To see what affects the price, read our business card printing price guide.

How to use your cards well

  • Carry cards with you every day, not only to events.
  • Keep them clean in a card holder, pocket or bag so they do not bend.
  • Hand over a card and say what you do in one sentence.
  • Follow up with a short message, then save the new contact.
