Drink bottle labels in Nigeria have to do more than look good. Zobo, kunu, yoghurt and tigernut drink are usually sold in plastic bottles that are chilled, carried around and handled with wet hands, so the label has to stay on, stay clean and stay readable. A plain bottle looks like a home drink. A labelled bottle looks like a brand.

Why drink bottle labels in Nigeria need to be tough
Cold bottles collect condensation, and bottles are often kept in coolers, fridges or buckets of ice. A label that is not made for damp conditions can wrinkle, lift or smudge. Choose a label material designed to handle moisture and rubbing.
Our stickers are vinyl, which is made for containers that get damp, such as bottles taken out of a fridge or cooler. Paper labels suit dry products better. See paper stickers for product labels for the comparison.
How to put drink bottle labels in Nigeria on correctly
- Measure the flat front of the bottle. Use a ruler. See how to measure a container for a sticker.
- Clean and dry the bottle. Wipe off water, dust and oil, and let the bottle reach room temperature.
- Stick the label on. Press it flat from the centre outwards, so no air bubbles are left.
- Leave it for a short while. Let the label settle before you fill or chill the bottle if possible.
- Then chill. Put the bottle in the fridge or cooler after the label has settled.
Where to place drink bottle labels in Nigeria
- Use the flat front. Most plastic bottles have a flat or lightly curved area. Do not place the label on the curve of the neck.
- Keep it away from the cap and the base. A label too close to either edge can lift when the bottle is opened or stood on a wet surface.
- Keep it level. A slightly crooked label looks careless.
What to print on drink bottle labels in Nigeria
- Brand name, large
- The drink and the type, for example “Zobo” and “Hibiscus drink”, or “Yoghurt” and “Vanilla”
- Volume, such as the bottle size
- Phone or WhatsApp number, bold and easy to read
- A separate small sticker for the date or batch, so the main label does not need to change
- Storage advice, such as “Keep refrigerated”, if it applies
Drinks and food are regulated in Nigeria, so check what information a drink label must carry with NAFDAC. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Sizes and shapes for drink bottle labels in Nigeria
For round, cylindrical bottles, a wrap-around label that goes around the bottle is a popular choice. See wrap-around labels for bottles.
The bottle decides the size. Measure the flat area of the bottle with a ruler, and tell us the width, the height and the unit. If you are unsure, the mini range of about 2 to 3 inches fits many small bottles. Round, oval and rectangle are all possible. A vertical oval or a rectangle often suits a tall bottle. See sticker sizes for small products and custom shape stickers.
Start with a small batch
If you are still testing a recipe, a flavour or a price, order 50 or 100 labels. Check how they look on real bottles, in a fridge and in a cooler. Then reorder. A small first batch lets you change a design without wasting stock. See small batch stickers in Nigeria.
