Printing cost in Nigeria can differ a lot for what looks like the same job. Two banners can both be “2 by 3 feet” and cost very different amounts, and two quotes for the same number of flyers can be thousands of naira apart. The difference is almost always in the details: paper or material, finish, design and who is printing.
Printers change their prices as materials, power and exchange rates change, so this guide does not quote figures that will go out of date. Instead it explains what drives the price of flyers, banners, business cards and stickers, how to compare quotes fairly, and where to see current prices before you order.

What affects printing cost in Nigeria
Almost every quote is built from the same few ingredients. When two quotes look far apart, one of these has usually changed.
- Size. Bigger prints use more material and more ink. Banners are priced by area, so doubling the width and height roughly quadruples the price.
- Quantity. Larger runs cost less per piece. A printer that charges more per page for 5 copies than for 500 is not cheating you; setup takes the same effort either way.
- Paper or material. Plain bond paper, 150gsm matte paper, thick card and vinyl are different products with different prices. Always compare the same material.
- Colour or black and white. Full-colour pages usually cost more than black and white at small quantities.
- Sides and finish. Printing both sides, lamination and die-cut edges each add cost.
- Design. If a designer must create the artwork, the fee is added. Repeat orders of the same design should not pay for it twice.
- Speed and location. Rush jobs, delivery to another state and running costs such as power all show up in the final figure.
The paper choice alone can change a price a lot. If you are unsure which paper suits your job, read our printing paper guide (GSM, finish and cost).
Flyer printing cost in Nigeria
Flyer prices vary mostly with paper weight, size and the number of sides printed. A heavy, coated 150gsm matte flyer feels premium and costs far more than a plain bond-paper handbill. Some printers, such as Hazken Digital in Lagos, publish flyer prices on their websites (hazken.com/flyers); compare any price you see with the paper weight and sides it includes.
Our own Paper Printing Service is digital printing on plain bond paper, priced per sheet, and our Card Printing Service is priced per sheet on matte card. These are different products from a coated flyer, so decide which one your promotion needs before you compare prices. Our complete guide to flyer printing gives the full picture on design and print preparation.
Banner printing cost in Nigeria
Banners are priced by area, so the fair way to compare is price per square foot. To work it out, multiply the width by the height in feet, then divide the quoted price by that number. A 4x5ft banner has 20 square feet, so a banner quoted at one price can be compared with a 6x8ft banner of 48 square feet.
Many printers advertise “starting from” rates, which are best-case figures. Ask for the final price for your exact size, finishing and design. Our flex banner page shows a separate price for each size, with or without design, and our flex banner price list explains how our rates compare with those published by printers in other cities.
Business card and sticker printing cost
For cards, the biggest price drivers are card weight, lamination and whether both sides are printed. Our cards are double-sided and laminated on both sides, so compare them with another printer’s double-sided, laminated cards of similar weight, not with a thin single-sided card. See the business card printing price guide for a side-by-side.
Stickers vary even more, because size, material and cut shape all change the price. Our stickers are vinyl and die-cut. Other printers may quote paper stickers or square-cut stickers at a different price. Compare price per sticker only after you match the size, material and cut.
If you sell products, you will probably also want labels: read our product label design tips before you order.
How much does design add to printing cost?
Design is the part many buyers forget to budget for. On our Print Shop you choose “No Design” if you already have a print-ready file, or “With Design” if you want us to create it, and the product page shows both prices. The gap between the two is a design fee that is the same kind of amount whatever you are printing, so you can see exactly what design adds.
If you already have a clean file, you save that fee. If not, a design-inclusive price is usually cheaper than hiring a designer separately and then paying a printer.
Questions to ask before you pay any printer
A low quote means little until you know what it includes. Ask these questions and get the answers in writing, even if only on WhatsApp:
- What exact size, paper or material and finish is included?
- Is the price for one side or both sides?
- Is design included, and how many corrections are allowed?
- Do you show a proof or preview before printing?
- How long will it take, and does that include delivery?
- Is delivery to my city extra, and who pays if the print is wrong?
Our guide on how to get the best printing quotation goes deeper on how to compare quotes fairly.
How to reduce your printing cost in Nigeria
- Order the right quantity. Printing 200 usually costs far less per piece than printing 100 twice.
- Send a print-ready file. A correct file saves the design fee and avoids reprints. See how to prepare print-ready files.
- Order related items together. If you need cards, flyers and stickers for the same launch, ask for one combined quote instead of three separate ones.
- Plan ahead. Rush work costs more and leaves no room to fix mistakes.
- Pick the material that fits the job. A one-day event banner does not need the same finish as a permanent shop sign.
How much does printing cost in Nigeria?
It depends on the product, size, quantity, paper or material, and whether design is included. Prices also change over time, so check the live price on the product page before you order.
Is printing cheaper in Lagos than in other cities?
Not always. Lagos printers publish competitive rates, but delivery time and cost to other states can offset the saving. Compare the full price for your exact job, including delivery.
Why do printers quote different prices for the same flyer?
Usually the paper weight, finish, number of sides or design inclusion is different. Ask each printer for the same specification before comparing.
Does the printing price include design?
Only if the quote says so. On our Print Shop you choose “No Design” or “With Design”, so the price you see already includes the design when you choose it.
Can I get a custom quote?
Yes. For sizes, quantities or products not listed, send the details on our contact page and we will reply with a price.
